Abstract
Is Covid-19 pushing people towards more peripheral areas? This has become a central topic in recent academic and policy circles, with many – often contrasting - views highlighting and focusing on different specific aspects. This talk offers some preliminary reflections on the debate on “centripetal” and “centrifugal” forces linked to the emergence of the recent sanitary crisis, distinguishing between a short- and long-term perspective and demand vs. supply factors.
