Groningen has excellent hotels, in modern or historic buildings in the city, most of these are within walking distance of the congress venue. 

There are two ways of booking your hotel arrangement 

1. You can make reservations yourself through the booking sites that are on the internet. In that case you can make your own trade-offs between price, conditions for cancellations and the moment you book your hotel accommodation; 

2. You can make reservations via the Groningen Congres Bureau (GCB) of the University of Groningen. The GCB  blocked a sufficient number of rooms in selected hotels for the period of the congress and arranged special prices for participants who reserve via the GCB booking site. The advantage is that the availability of the rooms are guaranteed and that prices are fixed. That also counts for cancellation conditions. Cancellation will be accepted until one week for arrival without costs. 

Please note that hotel accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Early booking is recommended.

The GCB uses the following conditions 
1. All prices are per room per night and are including full buffet breakfast, service, VAT and city tax.
2. For hotel reservations, the UVH (Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry) apply. These will be sent to you on request.
3. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival cannot be accepted.
The GCB blocked the rooms with arrival on August 28, 2017 and departure on September 2, 2017. But in case you want to come earlier, because of the festivities around 'Bommen Berend' or Noorderzon, or stay longer, this is off course possible. GCB will handle your request.
