Abstract
We apply event history methods to provide new evidence on graduate migration in Germany. We use employment biographies of graduates from several German universities covering the period from 1993 to 2014. The focus is on moves that are linked to labour market entry of the graduates. By applying event history methods we are able to investigate the sequence of the migration process in more detail. Only a few studies that investigate the mobility of young high-skilled workers use this approach up to now. In contrast to these papers our analyses provides more precise information on the timing of migration.
